Get Me ThereCynthia Lo

Hi, I'm Cynthia, one of the paediatric physiotherapists here at The Hills Physio. I work full-time from our Rouse Hill location and am part of our paediatric leadership team, where I have a particular focus on fostering community, collaboration, and a positive team culture.
I've always been passionate about supporting children and their families. Growing up with a strong involvement in dance and sport, pursuing physiotherapy felt like a natural fit. I love helping children build the gross motor skills, confidence, and physical abilities they need to participate fully in life - whether that's joining a sports team, keeping up with friends in the playground, or simply feeling confident in their own bodies.
I work with babies, toddlers, school-aged children, and adolescents across a wide range of presentations. My areas of interest include:
-
Early motor development and milestone delays
-
Neurological and genetic conditions
-
Orthopaedic rehabilitation
-
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
-
Developmental coordination challenges
-
Functional strength and participation goals
Above all, I believe in partnering with families to create meaningful, achievable goals that support each child's unique journey. Every child deserves the opportunity to participate in the activities they enjoy and reach their full potential.
You'll find me at Just for Kids on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and on alternating Saturdays.

Key Learnings and Skills
Before becoming a physiotherapist, I spent seven years supporting children and teenagers with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them develop academic, social, and life skills. During this time, I also worked alongside clinical psychologists and assisted with travel training programs, further strengthening my understanding of the diverse needs of children and their families.
I completed a Bachelor of Human Sciences at Macquarie University, majoring in both Communication Disorders and Human Movement, before going on to complete my Doctor of Physiotherapy.
Following my studies, I completed my new graduate year at The Children's Hospital at Westmead, where I gained valuable experience working with children across a broad range of clinical areas and presentations.
I am currently an Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) NSW Paediatric Committee member.
I am committed to ongoing learning and regularly participate in professional development, mentoring, and training opportunities to ensure my clinical practice remains evidence-based and up to date.
